Thread: Saftey Deposit Box Storage Limits

Who thinks that the bank's saftey deposit box should have 1k-10k storage. This way we do not have to spend precious lots on storing items (although unlikely someone has 10k items it is a high enough number that you will not need to go over at this point in the game and if you do you really need to delete some items).

This way I can save money on maintence and decorate my house with nice furniture instead of with travel packs. Also architects may benefit from this for an increase in furniture sales and possibly harvester sales since people now have free lots to place things. Cross-server lot trading may go down since now you can supply your own lots. Architects may benefit more if people start buying harvesters because what if said architect places a power selling vendor next to his harvestor vendor saying "Need some power with that harvestor? You have come to the right place" etc etc.

Also since it is in my bank I can access it from anywhere on the planet with my bank and it will make things A LOT easier to move around since you dont have to make multiple runs back and forth from your house to another house since you just put everything in the bank and go. It also helps if people are being evicted and need to get out soon

I say 250 items, tops. There's no reason for people to need that many units of storage, and apparently the game is suffering from database issues as it is.

The bank holds 100 items. I think that is fine. For a deposit box it should only contain items that you NEVER want to loose for any reason.

Where as your houses should hold 100 items per lot they require... so a guild hall that uses 9 lots would be able to hold 900 items.

currently houses hold about 75 per lot and cap at 250... this in my opinion is not fair. You can barely decorate a guild hall with 250 items and then you can forget any type of storage homes... So if they will change the limit on anything it needs to be on homes.

database problems are SOE's problems, not the paying customers. We all pay our $15 a month surely they can requisition the necessary hardware to handle the database. That is the underlying reason for the merchant changes that have delayed the release of publish 10.

Don't kid yourself.....

I paid my $50, and continue to pay my y $15 a month to play this game, same as you. SOE's dbase problem are not our problem. I say cough up the dough for the hardware to support the product you sold us 18 months ago. Don't disguise a Merchant revamp in the midst of a MAJOR game affecting JEDI revamp as anything other than triming the dbase. Player item storage is in direct conflict with SOE's hardware/database budget. Storage limits have always been disproprotional, and now that disproportion is being spread across all professions/players. Take a look at Housing storage limits and items per lot ratio.

You can get more than 100 items in the bank if you start dropping stuff in it before it loads up. Whenever you open the safety deposit box, it will take a couple seconds to load. Durring that time, you can load more in it... Looks like a bug but if you need the room and are not worried about potentially losing stuff, give it a try

I have abouyt 350 - 400 items just because I do not like deleting items I get, and I save them for momentos. I just want a place where I can put all my items without having to worry about them getting deleted if I don't play for a couple days, because I forgot to pay maintence.

I gotta disagree here, its our problem ether way. They keep popping in HD's eventully we end up with waiting longer and longer as the search times go up. So it comes down to lag or limitied database sizes, and IMO lag is bad enough already.

I have only been playing for a few months now....took up weaponsmithing initially...mastered it in less than 2 months (also mastering artisian in the process) now I am working on my first combat class. I have been dredding this moment for a while. I have a small house that I use for crafing and storing materials and such. I have been building up a stock of loot enhancements, and other stuff that I have collected, spare parts, resources. And all this time I have been waiting to hit my house limit. I hit it, and well, it's worse than that......even when my inventory is pretty loaded down, now I need to move. So to move, I am going to need to buy another small house....pull up all my extractors, just so I can place this other house, and move all my crap into it. All while coodinating with the mayor on house placement, which in itself is a task. Man, so I have to pull up my extractors and wait till this guy pops on line to place my house before I can lay them back down. This would not be nearly as much of a problem, if I just didn't have so much crap. Sad part is, it's not all crap...it's stuff I need. I destroyed everything that I might have wanted for a momento, all stuff worth very little, just to make it easier. And still it sounds like a major pain in the butt. They need to revamp the way items work. Smaller items need to take up less space, and you should be able to store more. A crate of 1m metal shouldn'ttake the same amount as ascout blaster. Or a Krayt Dragon Skull...sheesh. They should also make it to where items are more meaningful and less abundant. That would help quite a bit. AND STACKABLE. That would help quite a bit. I dunno...something. Cause it isn't working...it is making me think about giving up my weaponsmith/artisian because I don't have the ability to store all these items without using up all my lots so I can't place factories and harvesters....SHEESH.
