I format my PC today, and nowthe launchpad is downloading all the patches from the server again.

/sigh.

I look at the launchpad, it is downloading from patch 00 to patch 09 + 09 hotfix...

So I want to ask...

If I want to back up SWG, which file I should backup, so that I don't have to wait almost 8 hours to download patch?

I want to get back to the game as soon as possible.

But the entire folder is so big.

I just want to backup those files which download from the server.

btw... is that possible to ask someone to send me those "patch_01.tre","patch_02.tre"...etc? So I can skip the download?

You can copy just the patch files onto another disk, i regularly do this for a friend who connects with a modem, i download the bigger patches, and stick them on a disk for him.

I can't remember the names of them, but they sit in the root swg directory, and they are obvious by their names.

Ok!

I think I will ask a friend to try once.

Thank you so much.

what you want to back up are all the patches files and your personal settings. Patches files are *.tre in SWG installation folder, you might want to keep the profiles folder too to back up your toolbarsettings & macros.
