Every time i try an equip a item from my inventory i get a system message saying 'you do not have access to *my char's name here*. also when i try and unequip my armor i get a message saying I do not have permission to access Inventory. This has gone on for over 3 days now, CSR told me there was nothing i could do and to report a bug, any work arounds or help would be great thanks.

To be honest that's not something I've come across, but some suggestions you might try:

1) try and sell the item either via secure trade or a vendor/bazaar (either use a friends vendor to offer to or have a friend handy to buy the item, and then trade it back to you)

2) wait for a server restart (tho you've probably had one by now, so that I'm guessing didn't work

3) just a check - you don't have a full inventory?

4) again checking, you do have enough HAM to put the armour on.

Both 3 and 4 should give different error messages, but that's a different bug.

5) Try travelling and then access. Try with inventory open or closed before travel.

Err, that's all I can think of for now, good luck, and if it doesn't work make sure you both /bug it and put a reply in the In Live Forum bug threads. Include as much detail as possible:

Toon name:

Toon location:

Time (include timezone) (see options to enable server timestamps)

Toon server:

Exact procedure: (I.e. are you equipping with hotkey, double click inventory, radial menu on inventory, and what items are you using this on)

Exact Error message: (If you want to use a screenshot do so, but there is a bugtool.exe inthe swg directory for you to attach the image)

Anything else that might be useful: (I.e. had you recently been in combat, is the armour 0 condition, etc...)

rofl.... that stinks.. good luck with the CSR's in that one.

I'd say create another ticket in game, chat with a CSR in the launchpad chat, or post in the Technical Support forum.

Some of my pet peeve bugs:
•Armorsmith protection layers were not converted with the CU.
•Ship Details window does not close when you click "Travel" resulting in the message "You have lost the target. Closing interface."

Problem was fixed by the 4th CSR I talked to. It was done while I was afk. Keep trying if you get this and good luck.
