You can pick up 40 to 50 levels in an hour or two, are you serious?

Yes, if you group up with level 80s, you count as a level 80. Fighting level 82 mobs gives you about 12k exp per kill with double xp (more if you get inspiration), and you kill them about 1 or 2a minute, so do the math. I think there's a penalty if you're low level, so you might only get 2-4k apieceat first, but even then you'll quickly level up as there's likely people in your party to train you as you go. Once you get your first mastery you're level 54

Cool, I could use some powerleveling.

This is not a whine, or a put down on the new CU (I actually like it). But this is my situtaion.....I am only level 15, I do not get to play a lot...I enjoy going out on my own and doing solo things (My character is kinda a rogue smuggler type....) Is there ANYTHING in this game that is not like "Go pick up this data disc, and deliver it to so-and-so" "Congrats, u receive 25 credits as your reward".....This type of mission, is getting old. And I would really enjoy being able to do "storyline" type quests. It just seems that there is nothing out there for a beginning solo type player.

Please advise.

well the best thing to do would be to spend an hour or two with a piket hunting party on Dant, you'll quickly pick up 40 or 50 levels and be able to access the better content....all the stuff, especially ROTW quests, is kinda geared towards total complete combat templates only.

Or, you could pick up a Pilot faction, training up Pilot is a lot more story based and nonrepetitive

Are you sure about this?

I tried leveling with my level 12 friend and I am level 80. We killed a few things with varying levels and he got no experience.

Do we know the ranges between levels where the penalties are set?

I feel bad for noobs, it's hard as hell to level solo on your own now.

the higher your level (despite group lvl), the more exp you can get per kill. So you don't really start getting big exp per kill for a while. You get the same exp for killing a creature 2 lvls above you whether solo or grouped, but killing in groups is much, much faster.
