Thread: OK, can you tone down the wild spawn please?

Ok, before, places like Dathomir and Endor didn't have a lot of wild spawns, THen everyone compained, now you can't go 5 feet without something aggoing you. This was all find and dandy back when we relied on wild spawns to level, but now since you can only level with mission terminals, Wild spawns are nothing more than just a pain. I drove my bike 1000m a couple of days ago on dathomir and my combat music never turned off.

For the life of me I can't figure out why SOE hasn't been able to fix wild spawns for the last 2 years. It's either boom or bust with these things. On eclipse the krayt area has been completely dead for the last 3 days. Nothing but a couple of mission lairs in the whole area and the one static spawn at the canyon elbow. Lok dant talus and rori and parts of dath will go through extended periods of no spawns from time to time.

Then you get endor and parts of Dath with Cluster F*$%ed spawning. On endor it was kind of nice and I used to like to level there and just head in a direction and kill most of what I saw, but with the CL and no XP random spawns are just an annoyance now.

It's mind blowing that a game whose core activity is going out and killing things has had endless problems stocking the things for this long.

I was at my house on correllia last night and walked outside to see a spawn of about 50 gurburs or whatever they are called, I walked over and did and area attack, it was pretty funny. But I have seem the same thing on Dathomir, Saw a spawn of like 20 NS stalkers, all standing around having a party or something. My problem is that since we aren't gods any more, I want to go to dath and kill NS or good creatures but you can only pull one at a time or you die. But in the process, you back up 20 m and aggro 20 other animals. Most are around level 50 which is a pain if you are level 80 because you know you can kill it but you won't get anything for it. So it is just an endless loop of wasted time.

Dath spwns r wacked up. on the way to the FS village I saw, and i id you not, around maybe 100+ enraged rancors and tons of those fliers. My radar was pure red. Even my computer(everything is on/maxed and i never lag) was acting like it was a dial-up windows 95(well maybe not THAT bad but still very bad) from the sheer amount of rancors there. I tried rding through and by the time the lag settled I saw about 100 -30 dmgers on my screen and was dead b4 i could say "bye bye suckas". It was actually very funny and cool altho it was incredibly strange

Be sure to bug this as I am seeing the same thing in several places. 100's of creatures spawning at one location.


It is happening in the Geo Cave also with the lizards near the entrance.

Are you sure it's a bug, and not the devs doing something they would claim would be "acting as intended"?

If a dev is putting 100 creatures to a spawn intentially they need to be introduced to server limitations

I think they left the Noob testing spawns in. They really kill performance when you dont have 20 people fignting for them like you did during the first phase of testing.

Certain it is a bug. Go check it out and you will come to the same conclusion in about 1 second in the geo cave

I've already encountered this, both in the geo cave AND Dathomir


I'm asking about this from the devs point of view, lmao Personally, it's overkill. I'm CL80, and that brings everyone in my group to that level. We took rancor missions and didn't even get ONE done, after three hours, because some other creature (CL60 something)spawned nearby (forget what they were, four legged herbivores, NOT brakasets) so much and so often, that's all we were killing. And when we DID get a rancor, one of two things happened: the lower level mobs either all attacked the rancor and thus we got no xp, or the rancor would survive long enough to kill US, after we were weakened from the other mob. Same thing happened in another area, so it wasn't related to one area. We finally gave up

What are you complaining about?


The purpose of the CU was to spend lots more time in the cloners and taking actions that have no reward or purpose.


CU is "working as intended"

QFE. I've seen this even on prtions of Naboo. Sucks to be a CL14 crafter and have 20 Trade Feds spawn around your harvesters.




No decay + uber loot = /spit on crafters

Fix the economy and give crafters their $$$ worth... give us real revamp.

Remember... to Cancel you have to go to Register Expansion in the Launchpad.
