Ok, First thing that will happen is a small window popping up, asking if you want to respec. Choose Later. You can always bring the respec window back by typing /respec . You might get a warning saying that you have to respec because you need skills you didn't need previously. Obviously then you have to do that, double click on a skill toremove it, and double click on one to add it. Click the help window in the top right corner for a thorough explanation of the respec window.
If you've had your armour removed examine it to see what type it has become (battle, reconnoisance or assault) then look in your elite professions novice boxes for what armour you're allowed now. You can refit the armour you have to an armour you can use. It won't loose stats, just change appearance. If it was a really good armour previously it might give you hindrances to movement, accuracy and rate of fire. If so, get new armour with less hindrances.
Your weapons will have changed. Most of the weapons are tied to a level rather than skill, most, not all. A high dps (damage per second) and low specials cost is good. 400 dps and up is good (someone else might disagree).
Go through your toolbar, choose the specials that sounds cool.
Run to a mission terminal, grab a mission that is 2-3 levels below yours, try the specials out until you see what they all do.
