my notepad is stuffed with crap right now (guides, references, notes, etc.) and its getting too long that sometimes it takes me a minute to find what I need, is there a way to get another one, or another page or something?

Everything you save in your notepad is saved into a .txt file in your Star Wars Galaxies directory. This file can easily be copied out and a new, blank one set up so that you have a fresh new notepad to write on. From there, you can switch the two files as need be. The file is located at (by default)

C:\Program Files\StarWarsGalaxies\profiles\**account name**\notes.txt

Once you have copied out for notes.txt file, you can justdelete everything in thenotes.txt file in your SWG directory, and start over with a fresh new notepad. It may be the long way to do it, but i guarantees you wont lose your old notes and gives you as much free space as you want.

This also works with macroes, so if your macro list gets a bit too congested, you can always copy them out as well (same directory, macros.txt) and replace them when needed.

Good luck...

thanks, though I was more looking for a way to be able to have more than one notepad without losing the other during in-game play. I reference all the stuff in my current notepad frequently. I just want to add to it without creating a one page novel.

thanks, but I already use something similar to segment my notes. It makes it a little easier but it was still be much more convenient to have another accessable notepad.

Print out your information so you have a hard copy of it....put it next to your computer....delete it off your notepad so you have room for more stuff.

I think that'll be better than anything else

I have a similar enormous stash of information I'm constantly pulling up in game.

Far too much info for the /notepad function (as stated, it begins to load very slowly as it gets very long) so I've started emailing blocks of info to myself.

It's not a second notepad like you were looking for, but it did the job for me.

This is also incredibly handy for keeping notes when you play on more than one machine. You can access your in-game email from any computer easily. With the /note option you'd have to move and update the file everytime you changed computers.

Also, I colocode (ex. /#009900 Subject Title) the subjects of the notes I send to myself. I'm less likely to delete them along with merchant sales, imploding harvester notices, etc, if the subject line is neon green.

Not a second notepad (wich would be nice!) but I hope it helps.

What I do is copy out a specific section at a time and send myself a mail with the same header so that way if I ever want to look at it I just open my mail and save /note for only for small imeadate info
