Thread: Can anything be done about the EXTREME lag on Dath?

I mean, it takes up to a minute to loot a corpse.
Takes 30 seconds for anything to spawn.
Whole spawns dissapear in middle of fights.
Sucks!

Turn the use low level models on in the lauchpad. iirc
Improves it a lot, and it looks ok. just at a distance the models will look like polygons

amd xp-m 2400 running at equivalent of a 4.7P4 ... I consider that uber .. wouldn't you?

yes they are going to eliminate most lag on Dath and the other high end planets...Its called the CU. After the CU there will be alot less players, should eliminate a lot of lag.

yes...I want the lag gone now, cause as of CU, I will be gone probably.
And why in the hell would anyone need a fancy set up to play this game...lol

It laggs for me and my friends as well (I have a AMD Athlon 2800+, 1,5 GIG RAM, 128MB ATI Radeon 9800Pro, and 5 mbit internet connection). I can kill everything no problems there, but when you want to loot you really notice the LAG, you can't use /loot all, or /loot you will have to use the Radial for loot (loot all won't work either), and you will have to use the radial for loot like 5 times and the window for loot appears (/yay you think), wrong, there will NOT be showing any lootable items, you will have to wait about 4-5 minutes for them to appear (if there are to be items). In the first hour no NS did drop anything other then credits (we killed over 50+ and 2 elders, 7 spell weavers etc.)
The second hour, the /loot all worked for like 5 minutes and I was able to loot something other then Credits, yay a locked container and units of Bone, and a base DOT NS lance. But at least it worked, after that no more /loot all and back to the Radial 5x option, but only credits. I hope Tatooine will be better tomorrow, but from what guildies tell me no loot at all and the same lag/buggs.

Perhaps, but I'm just saying that your computer isn't uber just because its watercooled. And a 4.7Ghz?

Its probaly your computer.
Coronet was was a lag hole on my previus computer set.
I had 512Mb ram before with graphic options set to about half.
Now
1024Mb ram, max graphic, max everything, and very little lag.
1.5Gb ram should have eliminated all kind of lag.

Doubtful...running 2gig, 3.4Mhz, 256PCI graphics, 5mb net, ona raptor hard drive.
