It began sometime in May. I came back to SWG after an 8 month hiatus.

I came back interested in hologrinding and playing on the Jedi tangent. Turned out it was a bad time. Publish 9 and 10 were somewhere in the works. I wasn't sure if I should continue past the few professions I had mastered, or just wait for the new system to come in.

Publish 9 comes in - all about existing Jedi. I was good with that; the world doesn't revolve around me (entirely )

Another month comes and goes - Publish 10 coming out. Sounds like good news. I've already tromped up and down the SWG universe by this point. Gotten some location badges, finished some of the theme parks, yadda yadda - its fun exploring the game, but I really do have a purpose in mind here - I'd like to start on the jedi track.

Publish 10 - word finally comes out. Going to be around August 24th. Waiting, waiting, playing, playing. It's all good, and I'm a fairly patient individual, I'd like to think. Get familiar with the Vette (fun times!), tromp through the Warrens, mop up some badges for the Hero quest.

Oops - Publish 10 is delayed another week. Well, I can live with another week, can't I? Plus I can finish up those location badges, and the last mark for the Hero of Tattoine quest. Great, I'm all up for that. Finally hit 75 badges, I feel good about it.

Publish 10 hits - I'm a glowie! This is great!

But it looks like I'm a group 4. So, not due for a visit from the Old Man for who knows how long. Really, who knows?

As I said, I'd like to think I'm a patient individual. But what will I be waiting for in a week? Two weeks? Four weeks?

Although I've had a lot of fun, it seems that the past few months have been a litany of fun, grind, explore, fun with a constant thrum of "Wait, wait, wait" in the background.

I'd like to take the inevitable and often repeated advice that comes around - Just go out and play. Well, with 75 badges, all that I have left are the racetracks, a few Vette badges (opposite faction), DWB and.. er.. grinding more professions. I guess I'll give those another shot, while I wait.. patiently.. for the next ... opportunity.. for me.. to wait... for something...

I retract my evil thoughts regarding the swg, the devs, SOE and anything powered by a hard drive, in general.

You don't have any vendors or merchant skill, do you?

The merchant changes were good but the bugs that came with them are very evil. I have the skill to manage 4, but due to a bug it won't let me. I have the ability to list my vendors on the global map, but due to a bug it won't let me.
