Well, I was visited by the old man, ambushed by the siths, looted the data disk, went to the camp, and it didn't spawn. I tried again and still wouldn't. I logged off and it still didn't come up. So finally, i looked on my crystal and the quest where it has you investigate the waypoint found on the datapad, it said it was completed. I never saw the camp, never killed any siths, never got the waypoint to the village. Why is the game doing this?

Dont panic, same happened to me. Just shuttle to another planet and the Sith should attack you again. My Sith attack got killed by someone else, so I shuttled to Lok from Dantooine and got no more than 50M from starport before I was attacked again.

Check something first.. If you shuttle to anothe rplanet, you mission might reset to unfinished. Shuttling back might recreate the wp in the same position. If so try what i suggested here:
