Im a returning player, been away for a while, thinking of trying again due to all the changes and bringing a friend with me,

but it seems from an inital glance that the servers are all old, well developed, and...dead....

Are there any New servers, or new ones planned for the JTLS release?

Starting on an even footing with everyone is always a lure to play, esp with old exploits and bugs removed.

As some of the servers are nearly empty I can't really see them opening a new one

The server hardware has all been upgraded, but I don't believe there will be new Galaxies added.

There's been somewhat of a exodus of veteran players leaving to try new games the past few weeks, and a lot of people beta testing JTL. I think that's why the live servers have seemed more dead than usual lately. Still, come JTL launch I think things will begin to pick up again, both from returning vets and curious n00blets. Should be good times coming for SWG.

Consildation might help some,

but they could consolidate two empty ones and make a new one, which would be fuller im sure than the empty ones together, everyone always loves raceing from the start.
