OK, I'll admit it, I'm looking to loot some BH armor from these guys. I've read many threads on this subject (they all seem to be a few months old though) and they suggest the NW corner of Yavin4. I've tried there, and walked the length and breadth of Yavin trying to find these Black Sun guys. NOT ONE. I've looked now for about 6 hours, and counting....
Are these guys still spawning?
Are they still dropping BH armor pieces as loot?
Am I wasting my time searching for them?
Am I going to go (more)insane looking for them?
Any hints would be greatly appreciated. Further, I sent a ticket in asking about this (except for the going insane part...) and will post the reply when it comes. Lets all wait eagerly.

I just forced a sspawn by clearing a 500m square area. I'm clearing it again, but I don't know if I can't use the same spot for it.
They're still dropping, just very rarely.

Go to Yavin, Turn on your Con on Radar and drive around. Only things with red circles will be suns or giant crystal snakes...provided you arent an engineer or something like that

Hey peoples,
Thanks for the replies so far.
I like the idea of clearing out all mobs in a 500m radius...I'm gonna give it a go.
As for driving around...well I've been doing that for hours and was hoping for something a bit more specific...anyway, I wasnt actually driving, I was walking or riding a mount. This way the mobs wouldnt suffer from not spawning due to lag and speed of vehicle.
Also, I do believe that the Black Suns in the DWB dont drop BH armor. However, this is hearsay, I havent personally tried myself. Just everyone I've spoken to so far about this suggests this is the case.
OK. I got a reply from my ticket. It goes something like: 'Well, while we understand your frustrations, we ask that you keep playing the game as you are. The spawns are random and are working as intended.'
To me this suggests that A) the spawns are there, they are just very rare; B) they dont really know and/or are in the process of fixing it soon and can respond as such; C) the generic monkey machine is still sitting at the response desk for submitted tickets spitting out the same ole generic responses.
Oh well, I guess I'll try the clearing method and see how this works.
Keep the ideas and hints coming!

Sorry Seeru,
Just read my thread and it almost reads like I'm having a go!
I'm not! I appreciate the replies! Believe me, anything is welcome at this point. Just would've liked something more specific....but I do like your idea of the Con radar (although I actually already use it
)

LOL, there you go Seeru, someone found it useful!
You can now turn on Con (I think its called) on the radar. This was a new addition after patch10. Basically, on the radar mobs are indicated by color dots. Lets say a yellow dot. This means this mob is attackable, and that it can attack you, but it is not aggroed so wont attack you unless you attack it first. BUT, you dont know the level of this mob. It might be too weak to fight its way out of a wet paper bag or might be strong enough totear your head off from the wind generated by one of its eyes blinking! By turning on the Con another color will appear on the radar. This color will be a colored ring that encircles the color dot. So, lets say our yellow dot mob is an even match. then a white colored ring would encircle the yellow dot. If it could tear your head off, then the ring would be red!
OK, hope this was helpful. Personally I always have my Con turned on. Makes things easier to id.

Also look around the Imp base on Dathomir. I've seen spawns there before as well. I've killed at least 70 of them, and gotten no BH armor. But maybe I have just been unlucky.

OK Update.....
I found a static spawn! YaY!!!! I was thinking.....
The spawn consisted of 1 Assassin and 2 Henchmen. They respawned after about 5 minutes of dying. The henchmen went down fairly easily, but the assassins...watch out! I got incapped four times, once twice in a row and I thought he had me, but I showed him
after lots of cursing and swearing of course. I'm master rifle/master doctor btw, so not easy to push around. Yet the assassin guys were attacking my mind and using ranged attacks similar to rifles strafe attacks...nasty. But great fights nonetheless, and I was having fun till I made my first loot....
They gave between 100-300 credits per guy. In the 2 hours I camped the spawn the credit drop was consistent. I also looted 2 rebel orders and an adhesive (glass top table). This loot drop is worse than what meatlumps give out! I was most disgusted. I killed at least 70 guys, probably a few more than that, yet comparing the DIFFICULTY to the loot drops, made NO sense. These are not random loot drops as SOE claims because they are dropping the same things consistently, therefore as far as I can see they are based on some kind of loot table for certain species...I'd like to know why Black Suns with their level of difficulty are dropping such crappy loot. This is simply not logical.
So I sent a reply to my ticket in, and once again am awaiting a reply....
You know I'd love to gather my own BH armor and do it all myself. But if this keeps up, its going to be faster to domoney missions and buy a suit. But I really dont want to have to do that, its no fun. If it comes to that I'll know I'll be SERIOUSLY disillusioned ONCE AGAIN with the game because whoever is making decisions is doing so very badly. And, this will make me question whether or not I wish to continue playing. The above is merely one example of many in game things that make no sense!
Will put the response to my ticket here when it comes.

LOL, Xazrack, I wish I'd read your post before posting mine and finding my spawn on endor close to 0,0.
Oh man, so thats why they werent dropping....Although, I will have to ask HOW you know this. I mean I was there for two hours killing and they didnt drop. But this doesnt mean they dont drop....it could be that the devs (or whoever) have made the drop rates say 1 in 1000. May I ask how you know this for sure?
Although, after spending two hours there and getting crap, I will admit I'll be going back to Yavin4 to try again before trying Endor again. It leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

The 0,0 guys are warped from the DWB, and the guys in the DWB do not drop BH Armor.
