I just got a guild hall recently, I had a friend give me her houses to set up using my lots in exchange for her setting up my hall. We got the hall up, and she made me an admin on it, and then she set up a PA with the two of us as the only members, then she set alliegance to me so I'd become leader... The catch was, she was on her 10 day trial and doesn't plan to come back until JTL. The guild disbanded due to inactivity before I became the leader...so I can't reform it or anything...my question is, will the hall be destroyed now? I can't redeed it since I didn't place it. I have the maint paid for like 200 days... will it stick around or will it be destroyed because the guild is gone? If I know it'll stay, I intend on paying and moving back in until she comes back...

The Guild Hall is just like a house. The PA comes as extra. It'll still be there in 200 days, ready for the owner to set up a PA. As far as I know, you could use a Guild Hall like a house if you wanted, without bothering with the guild. Its City Halls that vanish on you, if you don't have enough members. PAs, as far as I know, work differently to that.
You should be fine.

Alright, thanks, I asked lots of people and I've gotten a million diffrent answers. I intend on using it as a museum near Eisley if I can indeed put my stuff in it without it all being destroyed...I just had to be 100% sure...and I admit I'm still a little wary that it's gonna go on me in a few days if I put all my stuff back in!
-Plus, according to the Holocron, a PA hall without a PA can be destroyed within 2 hours of being guildless...kinda

I asked this exact question, because the information in the holocron is as you stated..hall poofs within two hours after a guild ceases to exist. The CSR promptly responded that the building was now like any other in that as long as there is maint. in it, it will live. He thanked me for pointing out the holocron had outdated information and then mentioned if I had any other questions(insert drumroll here)...I should consult the holocron
The only concern I would have if I was you is that if your friend doesn't return, there is nocertainty the hall will exist 3-6 months after she quit due to potential character purges.

Well since she came back for 10 days...does that extend it? Her character'd already been dead since like February, but was still there after all this time...

You can go here and see TH's post on character purges. I suspect you might find your answer there.
Good luck!

oooh, your friend cancalled in Feb. then came back for the 10 day trial period, but never paid to reactivate the account? I would certainly be concerned if the purge of accounts older than 6 months occurs. Ild get your friend to pony up the 15 bucks to make sure her char and your guild hall stay on SOE's database.

Ah! Thanks for alerting me to the purge! I can't believe it, I was sohappy I'd get to keep my guild hall...and now I still lose it to the purge! Well, if JTL will hurry up, maybe I won't.... In any event, it's not like I can't get the money for a new one in thirty minutes
