When I first read through the publish notes and saw that 'NPC Hero Characters would make occasional visits to their stronghold cities', I was doubtful. Another relitively-cool think that SOE would probably screw up some how. Boy, was I wrong.
I was sitting in Bestine, helping out a newbie friend, when I got a very odd system message.

I read it, but was relitively uninterested. Perhaps a probot had scanned someone within the city, or somthing odd like that. When the shuttle landed right smack-dab in the middle of Bestine, I began to pondor what was going on. Suddenly, Nova Trooper Commanders emerged from the shuttle and fanned outwards. My curiousity was sparked.

And then, suddenly, the Dark Lord himself walked down the Lamda's platform.

He spoke of the GCW for a few minutes, then left. Of course, several players, including myself, kneeled in his presense.

Just as soon as he came, Lord Vador left, but not without promising to inform the Emperor of our loyalty. ((WooT!))

Now, I am not sure if Vador was player ((Dev or CSR)) controled, or a scripted NPC, but it didn't really matter. I absolutely loved this mini-event. It helped with emersion, and simply with the overall 'cool' factor. I hope everyone gets to experience somthing like this in the near future. =)

Same here. Leia made an apperance with a Rebel attack squad this morning in Cnet on Bloodfin as well.
I also heard from a guilde that Vader appeared in Theed today as well.

Anyone know if this is just a one time deal...or should I stalk, er, run into Leia in Cnet. I would like to ask her to have dinner with me

Man, I wanna see them. 
The pictures are too small for me to read the text, but does it show a message to all faction members on every planet (the faction that the certain character belongs to) about where they'll be?

Looks like a scripted event. See how Vader has resists there? Everytime I've seen a dev controlling him or screenshots of this, he doesn't have any.

Yesterday I saw Leia Drop into Coronet3 times in about a 6 hour basis.
Today I saw Vader once In Bestine and 3 Times in Theed in about an 8 hour span (In 2 of the 3 in Theed Vader had one speech, but the third he has a diffrent one I'll post here...)
