Ok, most of us know how the Force Rank System works, but heres a quick overview for those who dont. Once jedi reach knight they can grind up the force ranks by killing players to get FR exp. Then each time you get enough exp to get the box you go to your enclave and petition for that rank.
So heres my idea. Lets take the GCW past PvE, past PvP. Im thinking the ability to get higher than Colonel in your faction. This is how it would work:
-As soon as the player achieves the rank of Colonel, they unlock the Faction Ranks
- Players can now get Faction Points to get to the next rank. This would be like the jedi system, except they use exp.
- Faction Rank skill boxes will have special attributes for each box like +10 to faction mission difficulty, 5% faction perk moddifier....
- Each stage of the "pyramid" you can get a new robe. Like the jedi robes there would be a uniform. As you know in the movies and faction NPC have rank badges on thier uniform. In this system, depending on your rank you will get an appropriate uniform. Also this would be a 1 peice suit like the jedi ones. It can also have special moddifiers like 5% off faction perks or something.
- Top rank for the Imperials could be Grand Moff, as the Dark jedi's have the Dark Jedi Overlord, there can only be 1 Grand Moff per server.
- Top rank for the Rebels could be General, as the Jedi's have the Jedi Council Leader, there can only be 1 General per server.
- Other Imperial ranks could be: Moff, Admiral...
- Other Rebel ranks could be: Commander, Admiral...
- For those in the top 3 boxes of the pyramid, IE Rebel General and the Admirals, have special abilities that allow them to call apon Rebel NPC to spawn on thier location. They can then use this spawn as 1 faction pet. This would be good for those who want to add realism to the game, since someone in this position would have bodyguards.
- New Faction Vehicles such as AT-ST (mountable), Landspeeder with cannon, speederbike with cannon....
- Those in the Faction Ranks should also be overt all the time, just like the jedi ranks. Considering that an Imperial Admiral wouldnt run around on leave, they must stay Special Forces at all time.
This is what i have come up with so far. Ill add more as i think of it. Please leave comments on what you think

I was thinking about adding more to player cities. Since SOE took out city warn, there is no need for the "Stronghold" specialization in player cities. Well lets make it work! Lets say in Hibernia one day some imps come and attack the city, there isnt much to defend. So Stronghold cities should have raid horns, similar to air raid horns. The mayor of the city can use the structure terminal in the city to set off the alarm. The mayor should have placed these new sturctures, which look just like streetlamps except with speekers, around the city so they sound when the alarm is enabled. Now heres the cool thing, when the alarm goes off, faction friendly NPC spawn around the city and in civic structures, the bigger the city population the harder the NPC will be. This will add protection to cities with bases or jedi

In addition to the Faction Rank System, im also thinking of new ways to keep players into the GCW.
As you all know, in RotJ, the Empire had a sheild generator hidden on Endor. Has anyone seen this 100 + story shield dish? No! So Im thinking of a new quest based on Endor for both rebels and Imperials. The mission can start anywhere, dosnt matter, probably the hidden base for rebels and the retreat for imperials. The mission is to assemble a team that will meet up at the starting NPC. From there they will be shuttled via Lamba shuttle to either the bunker (imperials) or 1km away (rebels) near the bunker. In order for this to work, the area where the bunker is should be like the force village, only those who have the mission, or are in the group may enter. This is where it gets good The bunker is protected by Stormtroopers, Scouttroopers, Noncoms, AT-STs and maybe an AT-AT. Rebels will use thier weapons and special ordanence vehicles to destroy the Empires defences. But, heres the twist. There is only 1 bunker, meaning you might encounter PvP! Now your goal is to kill the opposing faction's players so they dont destroy the shield bunker.
After all the work you should get a special reward, maybe a multi-passenger vehicle schematic, or a vehicle with weapons installed. Just like the corvette, the power plant (or weaponcannon) is a random loot object off an NPC, or inside the bunker. Also all those who complete the mission would recieve a badge like:
...Has carried out orders by the Alliance Command to destroy the secret Imperial shield Generator
...Has carried out orders by the Imperial Command to protect the Imperial shield generator

New idea about the Force Rank! Rebel force rank profession could read "Rebel High Command" and the Imperial Rank Profession could read "Imperial Senate". Now, i know most of you think im dumb, the Imperial Senate was disolved by the Emporor in episode 4, but SHHHHHH, it sounds cool, no?

Major HQ
Theatrical HQ
S.F. Major HQ

Those who logged on to the TC during the GCW revamp know right at the beginning we could buy both, but the theatrical HQ was bugged The Major HQ is also known as the Stratigical Center. It looks like the big factional HQ buildings. These bases should be able to hold upto 6 turrets and 4 minefields. Also these bases will hold very hard NPC such as Novatroopers and Commodores/Commandants. The Theatrical HQ, is different. This is my concept. They can hold upto 10 turrets and 6 minefields. This base will be extreamly huge, extreamly expensive and help the faction that holds it amazingly! These bases will also be home to the strongest factional NPC you can find. The theatrical HQ will have a building the size of the Stratigical HQ, but it will also have a detachment HQ building on one side, and a forward outpost side beside it. It will be somewhat large, it will take up alot of room. But this base will be the best base you can get. It should have:
Auto-heal (medical and entertainer)
Bank Terminal
Mission Terminal
Faction Terminal
Cloning Facility
Insurance Terminal
Bazaar Terminal
(Maybe the ability to land space craft)
This style base would be the most stratigical you can get for your faction. How ever you will need to either be master smuggler or be in the faction ranks. These 2 bases must cost an extreame ammount of faction or else there will be alot of them around. It should be a rare base that will allow many players from both factions to be constantly attacking/defendint it. If i had a base like the theatrical i would put all my time into it. It would have everything you could ever think of in it

Not liking my FP to get further in the Faction ranks, New idea:
Players must now kill other players who are Special Forces in order to gain Faction Rank EXP.
