Not sure about disabled but I had some issues after switching to DirectX 9.0c. While this may be related to my vid card (Radeon 9700 Pro), it may be happening to others.

I boot up on account and load in. Alt+Tab out and boot up account number two. At this point, I normally jump back to account number one. For about a month, I kept getting an error telling me that DirectX failed to start up and that I should try restarting or reinstalling DirectX to fix this problem. I restarted, reinstalled and reformated and still kept getting the same error.

About a week ago, a friend who uses the same card had two of his accounts on so I knew it wasn't the card. This time, I waited so see if I would get the error message before Tabing back into SWG.

It seems that if you have SWG active, DirectX WILL NOT boot the second account. Take a few minutes and as soon as the LucasArts screen come up, you can Tab back in at that point.
