Hi there.
I am a bit confused about the stat migration process. I read elsewhere on the forum that you can change the stats and then they will change slowly over time - is this true? The box on the screen says they will only change after I have visited an ID.
Also, I want to migrate stats because I can't wear my comp armor due to encumbrance. All of my pieces tell me that I need more Focus and Willpowerto wear the armor. What I need to know however is do I need to change my stats to take account of the cumulative Focus (F)/Willpower (W) requiements or do I just adjust to take account of the highest requrement?
For example:
the chest plate requires 6 more F and 6 more W whilst the R Bracer requires 58 more F and 58 more W. Do I need to just give myself 58 more W and F or do I need to give myself 64 of each?
Also are there any NPC ID's in the game? I can spend 60-100K but if there are cheaper solutions then I'd rather do them.
Thanks

Stat migration can only be done by Image designers and (I think) only in the salon tents in major cities (Theed, Coronet, a few others). Master IDs may not have that restriction, but there aren't any NPC IDs. The stat migration takes 10 minutes to complete. It used to be a gradual process, but that was changed a while back.
Armor encumberance is a total across all pieces worn. So if you have a chest piece with 80 Mind encumberance and boots with 40 encumberance and a helmet with 120 encumberance, you'll need to migrate focus and willpower to 80 + 40 + 120 = 240 or above to wear all three pieces. Add up the encumberance of all the armor you want to wear for each HAM category, and that will tell you what your secondary stats need to be in each category.
You can also get armor sliced by a smuggler to reduce the encumberance, or buy low-encumb armor. You can also get a buff (either musician or food for focus/willpower) to temporarily bump your stats high enough to equip your armor. Once the buff wears off, you will continue wearing the armor, and your stats will be stuck at 1 (they never go lower than that).

Stat migrations are getting removed from the game in a month so I'd hold on. Also armour is changing alot too.If you want to wear your armour then I suggest you get a doctor and musicianto buff you. Buffs are a short term boost for all your stats. When you wear armour without buffs it can take along time for your health/action/mind to regenerate because some stats will be very low, some times 1/1. check Ctrl-C to veiw stuff like that. A trick if you want to wear armour with no buffs is to first get a buff then equip your armour then keep it equiped when the 2/3:45 hour buff is gone. But do not unequip once your buffs have gone other wise you won't be able to re-equip. Hope this helps a bit.

Yes thanks for the assistance.
I was aware of the changes to armor with the forthcoming upgrade so I guess yes I may be best waiting til then.
Also re: slicing - I got the armor sliced but I think I should have specified to decrease encumbrance as the smuggler I used caused everything to increase by 28%.
Thanks for the tip re buffing though - I just assumed I had to remove the armor after the buff expired. Just out of interest (and I presume not) - there are no penalties with wearing full set of comp armor whilst piloting a spaceship is there?
If I was to do stat migration now then I would need to adjust my F and W by at least 287 and thats a lot of HAM points to come from elsewhere.

Smugglers can't target what they slice. It's random as to how much and which area - damage or encumberance. Remember too, that when your buffs wear off, if you take any piece of armor off, you won't be able to put it back on again, and you will recover much slower.
