I am fed up with wasting my time scouring the desert for the moisture farmer and the pirate leader. Over the last two weeks I've never seen the damn farmer and the only time I found the pirate leader (by sheer accident going somewhere else) someone else had already had him.

I've spent hours wandering around the Tatt desert using the WP's in the various guides and got absolutely nowhere. Can't these things spawn a bit more often and in a smaller area please......

does anyone know the spawn rate ?

Are any of the WP's more likely to spawn than others ?

All you can do is like all of us have gotten the badges: Get 4 corner waypoints and fly with your swoop in a sweeping kinda way inch by down the lanes in that rectangle with your map on looking for that white or red spot.

The task is made somewhat easier if you are a ranger with NPC tracking skills or hire the services of a ranger. Fortunately when I was doing the hero quests I was a ranger so that made the searching slightly easier. Beyond that all you can do is crisscross around the spawn rectangle on a swoop and target everything you see.

It was easy back when most people were doing it at the same time. All we had to do was look at planet chat and help each other. It's harder now that not so many people are doing it.

Best advice is probably hiring a ranger.

When I was a Ranger I would laugh at people who would ask for help with the hermit quests... areatrack is so borked most of the time you are better off being on foot and just walking from one end of Tat to the other. I tried to do the quests for myself just befor I gave up Ranger... needless to say I still don't have any of the marks

Ah yes..teh pirate leader...I fondly recall driving expanding circles around the ranch trying to find them.

i lucked out, friend sent me the wp of the farmer, and omw to the sennex caves i found the pirates. Boar was at thesecond wp I checked

It has to be tedious because that's the only way SOE can define challenging

The only reason why I started the Ranger profession is because I was missing that Pirate quest part and was tired of searching for existing Rangers to help me, because I couldn't find any. As soon as I got the NPC tracking skill, I found the Pirates on that same day after a few minutes of searching around the compound.

I've done these quests on two different servers and have found that luck is kind of key...that and I've gotten most of the badges playing around 8 a.m. I don't know if that has anything to do with it though.

At 8ammost of the servers have reset, thus resetting all the quest counts and timers. Making them really easy to find, plus theres not as many people online to take the missions. Bestadvice is to try this strategy if ya get really bored/pissed off
