How many items can you have in a small, medium and large house?

If you really want a lot of storage space and don't mind paying extra maintenence, factories can hold 100 items.

That bit about 75 items per lot doesn't make sense at all. Mediums take four lots and only give you 150 items.

Storage SHOULD be related to lot usage but in Sony's infinate wisdom, they have chosen to not make it so.

As for factories, yes they do in fact hold 100 items in their input hoppers, and anyone can own them, but given how often they DISAPPEAR

So far vendors haven't surprised me, so that seems to be my storage facility of choice.

I think the original plan was to limit server load, as it takes alot of processing power to keep track of all of that loot, but I think it backfired........because smaller houses only take two lots, and they hold 150 items, and factories only take one and hold 100, people simply drop small houses and factories to get the storage they need........which I believe (and this is pure speculation, correct me if I am wrong) has the same load effect.

The big problem, therefore, is not really for storage as much for decoration. It is nearly impossible, IMHO, to decorate a large hall or theater properly with only 250 or 225 slots. This is fine for larger items, but smaller items take up one slot, so a simple rack of rifles might take up as much space as an entire living room set.

I wish there were some way to set items as permanent decoration. I realize this would be very problematic.

I suggest that they change the storage as follows:

75 per lot section:

Tents: 75

Small Houses: 150

50 per lot above 150

Medium Houses: 200

Large Houses: 250

25 per lot about 250

PA Hall: 275

City Hall: 300

This way you get a small bonus for the medium house, the others stay the same, with the exception of the PA Hall and City Hall type buildings, which also get a smaller bonus for storage. After all, the PA Halls and Player City buildings are used mostly for decoration, so higher storage would be crucial. It may not please everyone, but I think it is a good incremental comprimise.

i would love to know this. I've just bought a medium size house thinking it would hold motre than a smal....but it does not. I have tonnes of items, and have to have them in3 different houses. Surely the bigger the house the more items it can hold.

also got a large house, but it says i dont have enough plots if i try to build it !!!!

Just found this info

All houses are based on 75 items times the number of lots used, with a max of 250.

All Small Style Houses: 2 lots= 150 items

(except Small Naboo Style 2 which takes 1 lot and holds 75 items)

All Medium Style Houses: 2 lots = 150 items

All Large Style Houses: 6 lots = 250(max) items

All PA Halls: 7 or 9 lots = 250(max) items

seems daft for a medium house not to hold more that a small !!!!! - come on developers, sort it out

The maximum item limit for any particular structure is initially based on the amount of lots that structure takes up. For each lot that a structure takes up, that structure can hold 75 items. For instance: a Small Corellian House takes two lots, and so can store 2 x 75 items, or 150 items total. There is an upper cap of 250 items, so you will find that a Corellian Large House (which takes up 6 lots) and a Corellian PA Hall (which takes up 9) will both only allow 250 items to be stored, even though, according to the formula, they should be able to store 450 and 675 items, respectively. This limit also applies to commercial structures placed inside of a Player City such as a Hospital, Cantina and Theater. The Cantina costs 5 lots and can support 250 items. Hospitals and Theaters use 3 lots and can support 225 items. - Knowledge Base

Hope that helps you two!

All PA Halls take only 7 lots now.

The Small Round Naboo and the Merchant Tent each take only 1 lot and hold 75 items.

Why not make it realistic and dependent on mass... a house can hold this much mass, like ships... i find it highly illogical that i can have 8 containers with stuff in, in one room in a house, and then i can't place anything in the other rooms... wouldn't it be less demanding to load one full house instead of four houses with 150 items in each.... but hey... this is SOE, so logic is banned...
