Thread: Is the Wookie Life Day event good for non-combat type players?

Hey all.

I bought the game when it was released and rolled up a character, but didn't play him past the trial period. I've tried a number of MMORPGS over the years, but currently I have no desire to go out and fight. I'm leaning heavily toward some some kind of Atrisan/Medic/Entertainer career although I haven't really focused on anything yet.

I know. Too much history.

Anyway, I'm looking for some input on the do-ability of this Wookie Life Day event that I see when I'm logging in. Is it something that can be done by a non-combatant? I have some pistol skills, but not really looking forward to starting any kind of quest where much combat is involved. Also, I'm really focused now on learning the game mechanics and getting used to the screens and I don't want to travel a bunch only to find out this quest is not what I thought it was.

Can anyone give me an idea of what this thing is about?

its do able by a none combat person but you would be advised to either take some1 with combat with you or get a full set of buffs while you go to the party on certain planets i have done it on 2 servers first i had to run across dath got attack by a night sister or somthing as it used a force power on me my freind took it out the second time i had to go accross yavin that was easy didnt come across anything on the way to the party so it is posible for a none combat person but the surfaces of some of the planets are dangerus.

I have no combat skills at all and did it no problem. It's just travelling and conversing, no combat at all. You talk to one of the 3 wookies: Anchorhead, Vreni Island, Lake Retreat. Then they give you a wp to one of the adventure planets and you go there and talk to some wookies. That's it.

Hmm...You sound likeyou might beroleplayer-ish kind of person. I suggest you visit the Roleplaying forum sooner or later, and see what it's about.

Don't know how many days you have played but be aware that you must have played for 30 days or more to get the gift. Although there is no combat involved in the mission itself, you need to be very careful in your travel to the waypoint to stay away from high-level mobs.

My character was created the day the servers came up. It's just been inactive.

So I don't know if he can do it or not.

But I'm going to give it a try now that I know it can be done with my limited resources.

And Randomperson, I don't think I'm a roleplayer. I just need a break from fighting all the time and I don't want to go through the effort of trying to get in a group where my limited skills would probably get more people killed then their ability to actually help.

A fast vehicle to avoid all the MOBs is your friend.

My character doesn't know which end of a gun is which so combat was simply not an option.

The quest itself is cake. Outrunning all the things trying to eat you is the trick.
