But if you work for CorSec or Smugglers Alliance, you can blast Imperial NPC's. No players though

I can blast both rebels and imperials as a Smuggler's Alliance Ace. I make a lot of cash that way. hehe.

Yes you can turn. You just need to talk to Gil Burton (NPC) in Bestine. But you do not keep your ship. You lose all your levels, and xp and start way at the bottom.
I highly recommend against it.

Hiya all
I wsa curious when I first got JTL which is great by the way on the neutral (Freelancer) option it said that freelancers can turn at any point in time to the empire or rebel and keep their ships. I am a freelancer pilot, if I reach master and have the YT-1300 can I turn over to the rebel faction as a rebel pilot with my YT-1300, kinda like Han Solo did?

Actualy I think Priviteers can PvP in Kessel, and Deep Space the PvP zones which Priviteers can get to via a neutral station inthe Dantooine or Dathomire system I cant remember which right this minute though lol
