Thread: No helper droids for starting profession

I could not find a general discussion forum so i'm putting this here.
Why doesn't a player get a helper droid for the profession that he selects in the character creation screen. Players get helper droids for learning starting professions in game but not for the one selected in the character creation screen

Bah, I hate helper droids. You keep deleting them but they just keep coming. I am convinced this is just a prelude to a borg invasion

Every time i've started a new char, i got a helper droid for it - dont know why you didn't get one.
Go out to mos eisley sometime and check out all the noobs starting with their new helper droids.

You can only delete them after you've been in game for 10 hours (not 10 hours after creation, 10 hours of actual play time) - Once that passes you can delete them at will.

I did not start out with a helper droid when I made my latest character because it was right before the Live Event on Corbantis.
But, I think he is referring more to medical/entertainment/crafting/attack/etc bots given to new players. And what I would say tothat is it would probably weaken the already weak career of Droid Engineer.

I have no clue what droids you are talking about. n00bs are given green little droids, that can do absolutely nothing if you are a vet, cept annoy you. if you are a noob, they are a terrific thing to have, they give cash, extra xp, and a speeder rental

I am not talking about any droids, he is talking about getting a helper droid for your starting profession. I assume he means that medics should start with a medical droid,etc. Since he already meantions that you do get a helper droid he must mean something else. At least I assume that is what he means, thatis how it reads to me.
