Ok, no use beating around the bush here devs, you know you had the EQ2 team in to basically give you a combat system since you couldn't come up with one on your own, andweall know it.
Now that we're beyond that, it seems there is a feature you guys left out that I think would make more sense to have added, especially with the confusion of how people can fight a certain level of mob all day long, then go fight a different creature atthat same level and get flattened.
This is something they had in EQ2 so the team that installed the system should be familiar with it, and it was actually a good idea. Add an indicator to the con system and have it list the monster as Solo, or Group. What this system did was basically rate a creature at alevel, but a level 32 Group creature would be far far stronger than a level 32 Solo creature as it is intended to be taken down by a group, but it's level is appropriate to a group fighting in that level range.
I think this would solve alot of confusion and allow you to add and accurately tune content appropriate for both styles of play at the same time.
