How would I bind numpad 1 to the first member of my group, numpad 2 to the second member, etc? That way I can just hit a number to target what group member I want easily. I'm sure it's possible, I'm just not familiar with the commands. Thanks!

go to Ctrl+O (options)

go to Controls

go to Keymap option at the bottom

click on the Target tab

"sort" by the Binding column to make it easy to see.

this shows all the ctrl+1..2..3..4 bindings, just rebind them to whatever
