I came home from work after only being there a couple of hours just to see how publish 10 turned out. I must say, so far I'm totally dissappointed.

I checked all my chars, & my brand new char that onlyhas the POI's & never trained in any professions beyond buying the novice boxes feels the surge, while two of my older chars who have all the same POI's plus multiple profession masteries barely feel anything different. From this my guess would be that they changed it to some completely random method that makes no common sense.

Then I read that there will be a line of people waiting to get into the village. Why the hell didn't SOE make it "INSTANCED" then? If we have to wait for others to complete the quests it could possibly take months, or maybe even over a year. Not to mention that there is a timer running on the phases of the village, so it's possible that players who had to wait won't have enough time to get enough xp to complete their quest & may have to wait another 6 weeks before trying again.

Maybe this is jumping to conclusions, but this is what happens when SOE holds back information & then gives out vague descriptions at the very last minute.

BTW, whatever happened to the promises we were given that players would not have to be involved in combat or alter their templates to begin the FS quests. Entertainers & crafters get the shaft again it seems...

It's not the day off that I care about...it's the constant lies fed to us from SOE. I want this game to be playable, but it isn't in it's current form, & all they keep doing is making things worse. If you're so happy with how things are going then why are you so busy here responding to post from players like me? Shouldn't you be happily playing online, reveling in all the new content thrust upon you?

Wow.. never realized how many myopic pricks there were on these boards, until I saw ToppDogg's post. Why don't you peeps get concerned with your own lives, instead of trying to judge someone else's? Or maybe there is nothing to get concerned with...

ToppDogg: Don't mind these trolls. If they knew what a job was, they'd probably understand how precious a day off can be. For you to spend any which way you #@!#@ want. And I agree. This could have been fantastic, turned into a royal kick to the gonads.

The day off thing was just an expression of my dissappointment in the game. Hell, any day off from work is a good day IMO

What I am ticked about is the direction this game keeps going & how my hopes for it keep getting let down. I am a big StarWars fan & have played most StarWars games ever since X-Wing came out & I bought my first ever computer which was a 486 Packard Bell. This game has way too much potential to let this kind of crap go on without us voicing our opinions on it.

lay off all the people who took days off from work to see publish10 today. their bosses obviously gave them leave, it's theirs to do what they want with. unless they go out and commit a crime, there's no right or wrong way to spend THEIR time off.

First off, I'd gladly take a day off to play SWG!

Secondly, this is how it is, it's how the game is played...play it. It's like life...you are given a hand, deal with it as best u can. There are helpful links around that tell you exactly which POIs and profs and what-notsyou need to be glowing. Read em.

Finally, instancing the village will cause SOE more server problems. They are trying to prevent crashes that is caused by too many people being in one place at once (server traffic). Instancing the village will not solve this problem...it'll create it.
