Initially with the old system, you had to unlock 5 hidden master boxes. As the number of Jedi increased on the servers, we increased the required number of hidden boxes.

Yeah I read that too and posted it on my guilds forum. Needless to say there weren't to many happy campers out there. This just goes to show you that SOE can't get their lies... I mean stories straight.
How can you trust when there are nothing but lies?

Well Mattt, I could also post some more arguments from Feb. to substatiate how these quotes make perfect sense. However, I expected most people in the game at that time wouldn't have much trouble remembering what was going on then and that the context would be evident. Given your involvement with the stratics site, I'm actually quite surprised you don't recall.
Nonetheless, I will provide a little context for you. In the weeks leading up to this (Garva) post the average number of professions for those unlocking were rising dramatically. Early jedi were 'hitting' in the 8-12 profession range and now -all of a sudden, the average was hopping waaay up in the 20s. As people began to question the reason for this, the speculation at the time was that the system had obviously been altered and now additional professions were required. Of course the experiences of the posting unlockers wasn't necessarily conclusive the jump in numbers was suspicious. Garva in another post replied that it was certainly reasonable that that many people were just 'unlucky' and reminded us about how the house always wins in Vegas.
That's all fine and good. However, in light of Thunderheart's admission that the number of profs required did indeed change. I think it is reasonable to assume that the change was in when Garva was assuring us of the contrary and chalking it all up to luck.
Circumstantial evidence? Absolutely. Hard proof? Nope. But I'd be willing to bet on it, and no, I don't think it was cool.

That's from February. This is September. The System could have still been the same in February but changed later. Putting those quotes together proves nothing...
