Thread: Survey Macro & Travel Bug?

For couple of nights, I ran a survey macro and went to bed. When Iwoke up, I was 250 m away from my original starting point. Someone told me that it'sa travel bug. Is there anything I can do to fix it?
The other day, I woke up to find myself swimming in the water.

this bug has been around for as long as i can remember. No indication of any attempts to fix it either.

I had that happen to me when I was grinding survey... a year ago now? I ended up facing toward a building, harvestor, rock, tree.. something that would stop my movement. Heavy and medium harvestors were the best because I'd get caught on all the convenient edges.

Lag?
Ever seen somone skate across the floor then get up and run back to where they was sitting? I'll bet you that's it.

Not lag, just player warping. But what the original poster is talking about is a bit different and new. I noticed it recently too. Every time you sample your position changes slightly. Especially if you are sitting/standing/sampling.
It did it before but now its a bit more of a location change. I can sample on my patio of my house and sometimes end up inside the door. (yeah right there is a good reason to make balconies and patios indoor space)
