Because it is a speeder that once you get you'll never need to goto a vendor to buy a new speeder.
It is slow because they still want people to spend money buying Artisan Swoops and Speederbikes.

they should rename it the rip-off speeder instead of the flash speeder

Hey it's a free speeder for a new characters if they got the preoder bonus. It's better than nothing and it was given for free. You shouldn't complain as they didn't have to give people who preordered anything at all.

Why is it a rip-off? You were expecting the best speeder in the game? And never having to buy another? That cuts the artisans out. It's just a trophy, that's all. It isn't supposed to be the fastest, or even competitive with the other vehicles. Enjoy it for what it is, and you won't be disappointed.

I love mine. I use it for driving through town.
Anybody can own an AV-21. Only a select few have a flash speeder.

I use mine on occassion, but hands down, my swoop is the best vehicle I got, and 9 times out of 10, that's what I'm driving

I used my flash all the time, it decays slowly. I also liked that when it gets disabled, you just gotta type /flashspeeder and get a new one, so you're never without a ride when adventuring. However, for me the darned reb NPCs just love blowing it up for some reason, more than the other speeders. Now that I can craft my own, I'll be giving mine a rest.

I love my pretty red flash speeder! That is actually the only bike in game with decent coloring options. Even the AV 21 only has faded colors available for it. The Flash Speeder colors are bright and makes them look shiny and new.

although the flash speeder isn't as fast on the straightaway, and although it has terrible terrain negotiation, it is the BEST for corners and acceleration. if you're trying to get from the starport to the cantina in a city, there is no better vehicle

to me the Flash seems about as fast as the Speeder bike with worst terrain Negotiation then the swoop. but it works well for doing Harvster runs and surveying as control trumps speed and as such its replaced my X34 also it's color options are great I have a Blue/Green one on one toon and a Green/purple one on the other. though the first thing I did was change its base color as I think with its standard color it stinks.
It also saves you an inventory slot as you now never need to carry around a back-up vehical specially on planets like Dath.

What do you mean its a free speeder!! Ha it cost me $5 at Software Etc. and ingame $20k. so dont tell me its free. And another thing Yeah i was expecting it to be the best vehicle in the game. Comeon its called a FLASH speeder.....flash as in FAST! not slow. So yeah i was expecting a little something better.
