Ive been gone for some time and no one seems to know how to. I can ctrl+ enter or alt+ to make the window small but how do i get the mouse or is there a different way to do it?

You want the command to get to help (the holocron)? It's ctrl-h I believe.
If you want the control to minimize the game and go to desktop, it's Alt-Tab.

Pretty sure alt-tab worked for me too. It should bring up a list of the running applications and allow you to select the one you want.

Yes, ALT-TAB is standard for switching between windows applications. But what it does is switch to the last application you were running. If SWG is the only thing running, it will switch to your windows desktop.
Now, there is something different that I learned about that seems odd. When you have 2 instances running, ALT-TAB will only toggle back and forth between the 2 SWG sessions, and windows 2000 desktopis not part of the task list like they should be. It prevents you from going back to the windows desktop. If you hold down alt and click tab (continue to hold down alt) you should get a pop-up window showing all running tasks. continue to hit tab and it will cycle through the icons, when it lands on the application you want, release ALT and it will take you there.
The odd part is, if only 2 SWG programs come up in the list, how do you get back to your windows desktop? I'll tell you. While that task list is up on the screen, click your mouse on the desktop, then release ALT and now you've broken out of SWG's little toggle hell.
Other task switching keys may be disabled, but I haven't tried them to be sure. Those are ALT-ESC, and CTRL-ESC. ALT-ESC toggles through the list of all applications and CTRL-ESC goes straight to your "start menu" These are standard windows functions since the start of windows software. (except for CTRL-ESC, in older versions there was no "start menu" and it took you direct to the desktop.)
I hope I helped.

What I usually do is ctrl-alt-delete and go into the task manager (bringing you to the desktop) then close it. After that when I alt-tab in the game I can get to the desktop even if just the 2 swg instances are running.
There's probably many ways but whatever works for you, works for you
