Thread: Is there CAP/Limit on stacked bonus on skillmods Melee Defense/General Ranged? for example..

Like for example:
Melee Defense +170
Ranged Defense +200
General Ranged Accuracy +200
General Ranged Speed +60
General Ranged Speed +60
Someone says there is *cap* on those to 125 or 135 ... not 200 or so..
I say there is no cap cause there would be a message saying there is cap or that game wouldn't allow it to be stacked in first place?
I am very curious about this as this would be a big help in determining what classes
I want and what skillmods I go for so I dont waste my skillpoints or respecs.

Before the CU these were capped at125 but now there is no cap you just get less of a bonus the highter up for adding more after a certain point but you will ALWAYS get a bonus

diminished returns. lets take speed for example... the move from 100 spd to 125 speed will yeild more benefit than say 175spd to 200, the diminished returns formula(crazy calculus) says that the stronger you get the less benefits you get.

It will say that you have it but you only get the benefits of +25 from clothes and attachments.

There's no cap. I'm a Master Brawler/TK/Swordsman and w/ my BE clohtes, FS skills, and CA's, my rngd def is almost 220, melee def almost 290.

Listen too me you get whatever your skills give you, if that is 100, if that is 200, if that is 300 thats all good all of that will work for you. Anything over your skills is capped at +25 from clothes and attachments. Even though it says it in your character sheet you do not get the benefits from it.

Currently BE enhancements (such as melee def and ranged def) on clothing are apparently not functioning at all, until they are and it has been confirmed that they are, there is no way to know for sure wether or not the caps are still in place (at least on clothing), forget everything from the old system as it's no longer relevant.

Granted I havent tested on defenses. I do have a +40 2 hand suit anda +30 pike suit. Going from +25 in 2h too +40 their is no difference in mod DPS, not even a fraction of a pt difference. Thats how I tested it.

I tested terrain negotiation BE-clothing and that still works fine. It's capped at +25. But my test with melee/ranged def clothing didn't change the damage I was taking at all. So it seems not all enhancements are not working.
Oh yeah another I tested was unarmed dmg. No difference at all.
