I have the exact same problem. I found the console where you disable the magnetic core, however there is nothing else I can do after this. The quest wont allow you to continue until you find that technical readout terminal (which should tell me what to do, and how). I must be blind, because I can't find it anywere.
Someone please enlighten us on this.

The Technical readout terminal is in the little "donut" room that's inside of a larger "donut" hallway. Put your overhead map on and you'll see what I mean. To get to it you need to stay to your right from the beginning. The terminal itself looks like a display screen that is mounted high up on the wall inside the room. Hope this helps.

Well, you can get there more ways.
First and easiest way is to do imperial quest - starts speaking to doctor up in the tower of starport on Kashyyyk (you must go around to find the door). Its easiest, just to do some tasks for him and find some blood sample and medical documents up on the station - but also cool reward - if you free wookie prisoners, you get 3 nice pistols and then when you finish the quest, you get Star Destroyer (not Death Star) hologram. Imanaged to dothis quest alone.
Second is to start working for trandoshans, go to first (west) Trando camp, there is one Trando standing on pathway of one building (looks like holding prison place for wookie slaves). You must stand face to face and then he will speak to you. Do series of quests - including killing lvl 84 creature in lowest level of Rryatt Trails - Scratch - again, its possible to solo him, if you are good fighter. Then there is one part when 5 lvl 80 blackscales attack you - I nearly died doing this solo. Last quest is to destroy the station. Its very difficult, especialy finding what you must do. Reward is the badge.
Third known way is to do quest for wookie near gate of Rryatt Trails (not sure about name, its left of two wookies standing near the gate). He gives proton carbine, dont remember what is his quest. After you finish quest for him and get proton carbine, speak to second wookie next to him, he will give you quest for getting Trando radio from the 3rd level of Trails. Its pretty hard, as about 40 of lvl 79-80 fihters start shooting at you, but you can burstrun to radio and take it, then die 
). Quest finished. Then he sends you to wookie on the tree near starport, you get quest to save Rroot from the same village you was searching for radio. I did not try yet, but I heard its bugged. So nobody knows what is quest on Avatar or what is the reward for completing it.
