Thread: is there a limit on total charaters on SWG?

I have been trying to create a new charater on a server I havent been on, but no matter what server I choose it says, I cannot create another charater on that server. is there a total charater limit?

hmm well then I guess ill keep the ones I have, no need to make a new one, but rather just play around with the ones I have devoted some time to. would the 8 charater limit effect me when I open a Jedi slot 10 years from now?

Probably. In the pre-publish9 setup (where your opened slot became the Jedi), if you had 8 active characters, you had to delete one to activate your Jedi slot. I'm not 100% sure if the same restriciton applies now, though.

ok sounds good, just have to choose the charater to sacrafice, I can see the charater pouting now when I decide to delete him. its kinda funny how they pout in the class selection screen, what would they do when they get deleted?

Seriously this is the case for Jedi, a guy on the Jedi forum was asking why he didn't get another even though he was padawan -this was the problem.
