You need to bind keys in SWG for that. In the Options, CTRL+O, then Interface (I think) then keymap, then chat interface or something. There you have it, bind something to paste/copy/cut.

Then in windows you use the regular windowscommands for copying, alt-tab to SWG and use your binded key to paste it.

Hope it helps.

  1. As mentioned earlier, go to you're options screen by hitting O or control+O

  2. Select the "keymaping tab"

  3. A window will pop up. Select the very little tab at the top labled "chat"

  4. Scroll down the list of commands until youhighlight "chat edit copy"

  5. Press the "rebind" button and enter your desired keystroke combo. I use Control+Shift+C because it doesntalter any SWG keystrokes, its also similar to the windows keystroke and easy to remember.

  6. Scroll down the list again, andhighlight "chat edit paste"

  7. Press the "rebind" button and enter your desired Keystroke combo. I use Control+Shift+V. It will say that this is bound to a developer testing function, just click yes to rebind it.

  8. Now click "apply" at the bottom of the window.

  9. Click OK to save.

Walla! Now you can copy from game text to your clipboard, or from your clipboard to in game text. Its great because if you need to grab some quick info and email it to a buddy, you can simply copy it from a website, alt+tab into the game, and control+shift+V it into your email!

You can also save up all kinds of macros and merchants cansend replyemails to thank their customers real easy by just replying to the "item sold" emails, altering the "send to" name to the customers name, throw on a waypoint to your shop from their datapad, and control+shift+V the thank you.
