This was suprisingly easy to do. I used my orignal X-Wing and stripped it to the bare essentials so I could carry my largest lasers and missiles. Make sure that you have at least 2 missile launchers with packs of at least 12+ missles.

Destroy the escorts and then get behind the Corvette, target it and hit M to match its speed. Then target the first shield generator with your missiles and destroy it. Do the same to the 2nd shield generator. If you want you can destroy the weapon turrets but you don't need to. After you've destroyed both shield generators, target the engines and let loose with more missiles or you could use your lasers. Once it's disabled the boarding party will take over the ship and just follow it back to the Rebel Space Station. Towards the end though, you'll run into a couple of Tier 5 gunboats but if you keep the corvette between you and the gunboats you'll be OK. The Corvette by this time has fully restored itself and will easily dispatch the gunboats. IIRC, there is also a last "Banzai" charge of enemy ships coming at you towards the end but they were low level and easily handled. Or that very last part could be from another space mission. They all seem to be the same.
