Can you take it off a weapon to use it on another ?

And do you slice the weapon first then put the adk on it, or the other way ?

I destroyed a poison pike to get back the ADK, the pike disappeared & the ADK never came back

CSR-TonyS told me I was basicaly out of luck even though he could see that I did have an ADK applied

I've destroyed 2 or 3 items so far and have gotten my ADK back every time. There's a message that says "This item had an Anti-Decay kit applied to it, the Kit has been placed in your inventory" (I paraphrase)

So the impression I get, is that you are "destroying" the item, not the ADK.

Krash32, if what you describe had happened to me, I would escalate to a CSR manager.

On the slicing issue:

An ADK does not have any effect on slicing. You can slice the weapon before or after.
