Thread: How to Stand up when Dizzy and Knocked Down.
You could get up pretty quickly - even when dizzy - if you're lucky and patient.
Just hit Stand one time and then wait for the message, "You are so dizzy you fall down" and then press it one time again. Do this until you see, "You stand up." Then don't press Stand or Kneel or anything that changes your posture. Every time you change posture there is about a3 in 4 chance you will fall down when dizzy. So if you just spam stand you may see this:
You are so dizzy you fall down.
You are so dizzy you fall down.
You are so dizzy you fall down.
You stand up.
You are so dizzy you fall down.
You are so dizzy you fall down.
You stand up.
You are so dizzy you fall down.
You are so dizzy you fall down.
You are so dizzy you fall down.
You are so dizzy you fall down.
You are so dizzy you fall down.
You are so dizzy you fall down.
You stand up.
You are so dizzy you fall down.
You are so dizzy you fall down.
You are so dizzy you fall down.
You are so dizzy you fall down.
You don't feel dizzy anymore.
You stand up.
Now, you have just been laying on the floor taknig massive damage for much longer than you had to because you didn't pressStand once and wait for the message before pressing it again.![]()

Would it be worth it to add all healstates in the same macro? If you had two states when you run it, it would hit on the first one, then tell you you're not ready on the second, then rerun, and eventually heal the second. If you didn't have any states, it would just tell you "you can find no states of that kind to heal". Or would you wind up spamming yourself too much with that?
/healstate self;
This will ALWAYS cure dizzy first, I forget the order of the others, it's alphabetical if memory serves.
This way you just have on state cure macro cluttering up your toolbar instead of several, also, make sure your cures are in (duh) the top level of your inventory.
I know some people use a variant:
/stand;
/healstate self;
I prefer not to use this one as if you're already standing you'll immediately flop to the ground, thus necessitating a second macro (the first one) for the times you're already standing. Just put your 'stand' key next to your 'state' key and when you stand just pop the heal.
Cheers.

I have yet to try... can you /healstate self while on your back or kneeling?

Just change the one line to "/healstate self" and it will first heal whatever state was put on last, then the next most recent one, etc. no need to specifically say "/healstate dizzy".

Erm, no, the order of states applied have no bearing on the order of /healstate self.
It's not alphabetical, because if you're blinded and dizzied, you still heal dizzy first.
/shrug
Kind of weird, but again, the order in which states are applied have no bearing on the order in which they're healed.

You could, but then you wont be able to heal damagewhen you want... I find that being selective over what state you heal and when is a lot better than just running a healstate macro loop. You need to be able to cure, heal state and heal damage in order of proirity that suits the situation in PvP so flexibility is the key.
A couple of times when fighting a doc I have seen that they are running a similar macro, for example, one had one that seemed to do first aid and then cures, so I could spam healthshot and he couldnt cure the poison and disease I was lobbing as the macro was trying to get the bleed off everytime.
I used to have a lot of fun with docs that ran macros and couldn't heal damage, statesand cureselectively. ![]()

I get abug sometimes with"/healstate self" when KD/Dizzy, iftheMob/Player you have targetted turns into a corpse (dies) you will get "You must target a player or.." instead of the /healstate going off.
You then need to clear your target to get it to work... thats why I have /tar self in mine... I really, really want to get up from dizzy asap.This means after you stand up and /dump the macro you need to reaquire your target but I think avoiding the bug is more important.
