Thread: Super Trooper?

Was wandering around Coronet today and saw a stormtrooper standing around minding his own business. Would not seem unusual except he was wearing dark gray armor with tan stripes (was not a dark trooper) and had medium armor (high resists to most) with almost 100K HAM. Sent my pet after him and got a few shots off, but of course my wimpy pistol hardly put a dent in him before I ran like the wind. Is this a sign of things to come?

My only question is was he attackable. If so then he possibly just spawned or something. I have heard of weird stuff spawning everywhere.

Those are Nova Troopers I believe. Live events have them, that one is probably left over from a live event.

Yeah, that's similar to a Nova trooper. You can find those badboys on the Corellian Corvette or at Dev-supported Live Events, like the above poster said. Believe it or not, there were actually a couple of days when those things roamed the Imperial and Imperial Crackdown cities. They were put in at the start of Publish 8, I believe, but removed after player backlash.
I was in Bestine with 3 friends, and we were fully buffed and ready for PvP. We saw 4 of these new Nova troopers and decided to try and kill one of them. We successfully pulled one of themaway and were surprised to see how hard these things hit: around 1500 points even through armor! They're very accurate, too, so when the other 3 discovered us, it was like high-tailing it from 4 Giant Krayt Dragons.

Why can't we have Stormies half a strong as those guys? Stormtroopers at the moment are just guys cosplaying, not the ph33red Emperor's Elite. Everytime I see an Unarmed Stormie strolling around Bestine, I just want to give the guy who made that possible a smack.
Here's a follow conversations of the Emperor's best outside the Imperial Hall on Bestine.
Nova Trooper: So I like totally kicked these 5 guys asses, saved the Corvette and got a letter from hot Twi'lek girlfriend with naughty pictures. What did you do today?
TK-554: Uh, I stood around a hill outside the main base with the guys, when a huge team of Composite Clones attacked...
Nova Trooper: Yeah?
TK-554: I ran like hell, we were totally PWNED. I should get a medal though, I almost hit one!
Scouttrooper: I HATE NO PURPOSE WITHOUT MY BIKE!
Stormcommando: God, I hate you all.
Darktrooper: Cram it, meatbag.
*Jedi walks in, PWNS everyone there and walks off*
