Thread: A little DWB tip

Heres a little Deathwatch Bunker tip that some DWB veterans aren't even aware of.
When you come across a chest or a coalbin and want to loot what is inside, do NOT click in the chest or coalbin. Its the act of clicking that spawns the SBD (or some other mean and nasty MOB).
Type in the commands. Type /tar chest or /tar coalbin to target either, and then type /open to get at whatever goodie is inside. I've looted over 20 jetpack parts in the past 2 weeks without spawning a single sbd from the first chest alone.

Hmm, nice one.
I woulduse /examine it to see if it had anything in it, but didnt know you could get around spawning an SBD using /open.
That will come in handy on the vette too, as some containers spawn SBD's.

I have it hotkeyed. Wrote a little macro that /tar chest and /examine. If it has something in it, I hit my /open button, take out whats there (unless it's a rebreather, DAMN REBREATHERS!), and spend the next 20 minutes killing the BS npc's.

20 minutes.
I have very little idle time there fighting the black sun npc's as they spawn every 4 minutes. They also occasionally drop DE-10 barrels (white and yellow) and DE-10 schems.

what is the best room to do this, i am not very familiar with the dwb so is the place hard to get to or can i just run in and chill therefor aset of buffs? thanks alot for your help!

What is it about the rebreathers that make them unlootable? Is there some kind of rerequisite to pick them up or what? Had the same problem in the Geo Caves not too long ago; several rebreathers, but unable to loot. Kept getting the message "You do not have permission to access this container" (or something like that). Picked one off of a Blacksun the other night in the DWB no problem though.

I usually just stick to the first 2 rooms. In the 2nd room theres a chest that you can loot every 20 minutes. So just kill the black sun npc's (and hope for some DE-10 parts) until it respawns.

I read that master artisans could loot them. I have a master artisan with my other account, so I went down there, cleared out the BS and tried to get that rebreather out of the chest. It didn't work. Only recourse for the rebreather at this time is to wait for server reset.

This is a good time to remind people... if a bug occurs, fill out a bug report. The devs prioritize their daily tasks (as I'm sure many of us do) and if a bug is occuring to many people, but few report it, it does not become a priority. When I hear players complaining I always ask if they reported. "Oh, the devs never listen" or "Nothing will ever get fixed" just are not true. We often may not get fixed what we often want, but like voting if you don't cast your ballot you have no voice.
