yes yes, perfect!!
every other proff can just grab all basic proff master and end up with pvp template, but lets not allot jedi to do that!!!
thats horrible unfair on the rest of us...
hey bud, it takes what 30-60 minutes to master each basic proff except artisan because of surveying, yet it takes a buff set to get a tier 1 skill of jedi with tier 3 ls skill and you can maybe pull off 2 tier 1 skills at llv 2 in a buff set
its alot easier for non jedi to get 250 points to invest then a jedi in a point for point respec

The way I take this is like this:
Example:
I have a character that is a Master PIkeman, but with the CU, I need to have 0044 in Brawler to "Master" this.
So, I free up 14 skill points to "Respec" to give myself 0040 for pikeman, as I already have 0004 in the previous combat system.
They way I understand it is that you can NOT just "give" yourself a "new" profession, such as I'm a Pikeman , but I want to be a Swordsman now. I think you will have to go earn that one. (Unless you are speaking of the test center.)
Does that make sense?. I just woke up, and I'm still foggy.....

I also don't understand how this new system is going to convert.
I'm currently a TKM, a novice Rifleman, 0010 in Pistoleer, and 4300 Medic.
Since TKMs will no longer be able to do much of anything except avoid combat, I no longer want to be one. Am I going to be able to respec my TKM skill points to something like Smuggler (or some other profession I currently have no skills in)?
Also, what about support skills like Medic? Do those respec too? If so, do they respec into combat skills or just different support (more medic) skills?
Another question: How does the respecing work? Is it based on skill points used? The difficulty level of the skill? The xp needed to learn the skill?
I'd jump on the TC too but I am on a dial-up and there's no way I could finish that download.
Thanks in advance for any answers.

Good questions, especially considering that new profesion pre-reqs will be required. The answer to this question I'm sure will determine our grinding/leveling strategies in the near future.
