When I first started playing SWG I came from Anarchy Online. Since I was used to the keymap from that game, I ended up remapping almost all my keys in SWG to make it more like what I liked. However, when I create a character on a different server, only some of these mappings are intact on that character, so I'd like to know what file these settings are stored in so I know how to copy my keymap over to the new characters, and also so I can copy it into my test center profile.
Does anyone know this? I've been looking through the Profiles/ directory but didn't find any file that looked like it could be my keyboard mapping.
Thanks in advance

This is fairly easy to do, and you were right to look in the profiles directory.
To grab your current config, look in this folder:
C:\Program Files\StarWarsGalaxies\profiles\[username]\[servername]
Where the username and servername is from the character whose config you want to copy.
You will see a load of files with long numbers ending in .ca, .inp, .inv etc.
Copy all these and then go to the folder for the character you want to copy the config to:
C:\Program Files\StarWarsGalaxies\profiles\[username]\[servername]
Where the username and servername is from the character whose config you want to change.
Paste in the files and now you will have two sets of files with two sets of numbers.
Create a new folder called "old" in that directory and move the files that were already in this folder (not the ones you copied) into here. Make sure you move them, not copy.
Now, you have to rename the files that you copied over from your other character so that the numbers match the files you have moved into the "old" folder.
Restart your char and most of your config should be changed the way your other char is. Modal chat will still need to me turned off if you use it and various other things.
If you play on another account you will have to copy your macro.txt file to this folder:
C:\Program Files\StarWarsGalaxies\profiles\[username]

Yea, I did that already and it worked, but I guess what I really wanted to know was which files contain what information.
Sorry for the late reply, when this was moved it fell out of my subcscriptions so I didn't know it had been replied to. Thanks though

Well, you could copy each file across individually and see what it does to your client if you really wanted to know.
From what I can see the files are as follows:
.ca - what your toon is wearing for the char select screen.
.inp - macro and keyboard bindings
.inv - dunno
.opt - some UI settings
.uis - chat logs
.wpg - dunno
I could be very wrong though.

Looks about right to me. If I had to venture some guesses as to what the abbreviations are for I would say:
.ca - Character Appearance
.inp- INPut settings(keybindings)
.inv - INVentory (Doesn't seem to affect much. Maybe sort order. Probably overwritten on login)
.opt - OPTions (the in game options you have set)
.uis - User Interface Settings(where you have all your UI sections and chat tabs positioned on screen)
.wpg - you got me. Maybe some sort of space settings. Space keymap?
