Thread: A little history......
I apologize if this seems "scattershot", I've taken a lot of issues to the producers to get some answers. Most are being looked into. I know, nobody likes that answer (but it really is the second best answer to "We've fixed it"). Anyway here are some answers I did get today:
Please fix the Smuggler issues.
We're dedicating a designer (Green Marine) next week to looking into fixing some of the bigger issues of the smuggler. (Yes, we are also looking at issues with the other professions, the smuggler just seems to be the one needing the most love at this moment).
Can we have more Star Wars Music?
Meeting with music department today. We've always wanted to add more music in the game, now we're finally getting around to scheduling it.
When will death more of a sting?
We're redesigning death a little bit, so "not yet". We want it to be a bit more undesirable. Crafters will be happy to learn that our plan includes damage to uninsured items when you die.
Can we have a Temporary Enemy Flag indicator for when you are covert?
Yes, but this is going to take some time to get to the live servers. Given our current priorities with that programmer, expect overamonth. It will get done.
I have a big list of issues to bug the designers about. I'll get back to it now. I've got some more info on the GCW to sort through; expect a post on the Galactic Civil War forum within an hour.

This was the beginning of a painful 12 months for the smugglers, for a prof "in the need of the most love atm" we've seen little to none of it, The last 12 months have seen mainly breakages of skills, eg spice downers, feign death, and the recent crate autopull problems to nerfs of skills such as panic shot,and FD again( now has basically 0 chance of clearing aggro, animals and npc's will come from over 200m away to attack you as soon as you stand)
Although the chef revamp killed the spice market we were sure that it wouldn't be long till we were looked at and our spices fixed so they were once again competive in the market......boy were we wrong
Then we heard of a couple of new spices to be added in pub 9... glitterstim and riik. Unfortunately a large number of jedi spoke out against gltterstim, and the smugglers themselves spole out about the rest of what the devs had offered as our "revamp" They ended up delaying the smugg revamp but said that the spices were still on the plate for pub 9. The pub came....no spice. The doctors got the poison resist as a buff......which was originally supposed to be the riik spices purpose.
Yet in amongst all this nerfage, breakage and delays we were given a few things such as....
1- The Imperial Crackdown- Did you know that smugglers can hide you from being searched by troopers while grouped with them? No? not surprised at your answer really.... if you're reb, 9 times out of ten you'd win in a fight with them, if you're an imp you're probably high enough in rank to bypass the scans......or if you're really worried you can go buy a few cheap droids w/ storage and not think about it ever again
2 - Jawa traders outpost- everyone knows what jawas are, little guys out in the desert who buy and sell stuff. We can speak to jawas as smugglers........and sell them junk too..........for about 2 credits more than what a non smuggler would get from a normal junk dealer in any capital city in the galaxy. woohoo
So if you see a smuggler today.....be nice to them, we've had a rough year ![]()
