The only way I have been able to do this is to run around without any weapons on(so you dont shoot him) until he "un-aggros" you. Quickly, run in and converse and you are done. Burst run helps for these missions that mess up.

I don't specifically remember this mission, but I have two ideas...your target NPC may be surrounded by some thugs who attack you. You might try dispatching them, then going to talk to the NPC.
If he insists on attacking you, try approaching him without a gun equiped. I don't recall having any big problem.

This is what and another friend have done. Only thing different was we spammed "peace" over and over. Don't know if it helped, but it didn't hurt!
Yes, for some reason the devs saw fit to give half the NPCs you need to converse with/escort back at the Emperor's Retreat membership in the Thug faction. Therefore, if your Thug faction is low, they'll aggro and attack you.
The way around this is that the minute they go aggro, spam peace and start running away, leading them along until the "give up" and start to return to their starting point. You have to QUICKLY turn around and converse with them while they're still in the "cool down" period and won't attack you. The NPCs run back to their spawn point, so you need to turn around fast to talk to them.
I had to do this with a lot of missions to finish the theme park. (DEVS: please, please, take thug standing away from these NPCs.. it makes no sense that they'd attack you when THEY'RE EXPECTING YOU. 
)
Just stay out of range from attack completely and target him, after targeting your mission just type in /converse

I've had to say this on multi boards now.
all i did was unequip my weapons and press the peace button (after he attacked). he may hit you a bit but he eventually un-agros and starts to walk away (yes i ran a bit but it didnt seem to do much damage standing still). Thats it.

Also, can anyone tell me what is up with Thrawn? I cant seem to do the next mission for him. It keeps telling me what theh mission is but he wont let me accept. The mission is to retreave the shuttle transponder.
on the 4th mission that lord ratheer give you to take the holo disk to the broadcaster the broadcaster attacks me every time i get close to him and i don't have a chance to talk to him and complete the mission. is there anyway to complete this mission without having to run around and kill townspeople until my thug faction standing is up anything help on this matter will be usefull thanks!
