Thread: FS Skills does it matter which you choose?

Ok this might sound silly but does it matter which FS path you choose in the village?

If you are planning on going all the way to jedi but chose to convert doctor XP instead of combat XP would it matter at a later date that you didn't have the combat mods?

Once you take Jedi can you drop the Force Sensitive skills, or does your choice now affect you forever?

Thanks in advance for the advice.

As far as I know, some will be more beneficial while you are a padawan then others.

For example, melee speed and accuracy will help a padawan because lightsaber is considered melee. Have ranged speed and accuracy won't help a padawan, since a padawan has no ranged weapons.

While you are a padawan you still will have a mix of jedi and non-jedi skills. Having FS skills that make life easier while a padawan makes sense. Once you become a jedi I think you have all jedi skills, and even have to unlearn the FS skills.

I might point out also that a master professional can grind combat and weapon exp for a FS tree faster then any other conversion.

For instance it would take 255 days to run 10 large harvesters to get the resources required to master use only architectureal exp. However once you have the resources you can grind about 35k FS exp an hour.

A doctor can only grind about 12k FS exp an hour if he is using buffs to grind with. This varies depending on server load and peak time but its an average.

While a combat person with only one mastery can avg about 25k FS exp an hour. Those with upto triple combat mastery even go faster! As high as 45 or 50k an hour.

I just noticed after posting that there's a FS forum now, doh! Thanks for not flaming for my being dozy though

That's some comfort at least. I don't even have one combat mastery yet (I'm very very close to master doc (only need a bit of crafting) but my combat skill (Teras Kasi) is nowhere near master yet.

I dropped into the village just to see how tough it was going to be, but at these conversion rates I guess I'll wait before going back.

Thanks again.
