The only think you have to start over is the actual quest if you dont complete it.
once the combat prowness tree is unlocked it is yours to fill no matter how long it takes.

Hi all,

First off, sorry if this is a dumb question or if it's answered elsewhere, but...

I couldn't get to the village until just over a week and a half into the phase, and I have been pretty busy in RL, so I can see now that I am not going to get all four boxes before Tuesday. My question is, the next time phase 1 comes around, can I both finish the combat boxes that I have been working on AND do a new quest and unlock those boxes? This is, of course, assuming I have enough time for all of that, but let's pretend I will.

You don't need to learn all the boxes in the skill branch you unlocked before unlocking a new skill branch. Remember, it takes 50k force XP of the appropiate type to unlock the novice boxes before you can unlock the individual skill branches, you can do this at anytime.
