Thread: We need more storage space or lots

There needs to be more storage space allowed on our houses. Or maybe there needs to

be a new type of house created, a storage shed or something. And it should hold at least

250 items and take only one lot. With all the loot kit items, clothing, resources, faction loot, village

loot, spaceloot, and everything else, something has got to change. We simply do not have

enough space anymore, especially concerninghaving to save partsfor reverse engineering of space loot.

Some people say it is because there is not enough server space. However, it seems reasonable

that people who have left the game should have their data purged to make space. SOE can backup

the data to external media and save it for the appropriate amount of time in case they return. And the

houses can poof just as they do now after the maintenance cycle completes. Happy new year everyone!

I think some of the problem would be solved if they would remove the hard cap of 250 items and make storage a true 75 items per lot.

As it is, 3 small houses will let you store more items than 1 large house.

It seems to me that the database (and the landscape) would be less cluttered if there was one large house with 450 items in it instead of 3 small ones with 450 items between them.


Of course, 100 items per lot would be even better! (hint hint, devs)

i have an idea for lots... most Artisen types need more storage/lots space for thing like house, factorys, and harvesters. All char get 10 lots to begin with and that is great for combat related skills. If you look a any artisen that is successfull they will usaly be in a guild. and do lot sharing which is a good work around.


Abetter solution would beincoperate more lots into the atrisen tree. like put them in the domestice line and the engineering lines at one lot per box. The mod can be done look at the merchant skill on how the number of venders and amount of storage increase as your skills increas. the lot problem may not be solved but it will alow more even resoure harvesting beacuse at the elite level have to get more than ten special resourece to have a complete line up of products.


Icurrently run two chars on a fighter and the other an artisen and my fighter holds my factorys and his house but my artisen has to hold his own house so that he can be in a guilded city. So i do have a guild that helps me but i would like to help the economy of starwars. By harvesting my own resources i can under cut the other artisens that have to buy from the group miners.


but that is my two cents.

It really makes no sense that a small house holds 150 items and a med house, large house and guild hall hold 250. I seems that the larger the building, the more it should hold. Something like:


Small house - 150 items

Med house - 250 items

Large house - 350 items

Guild hall - 500 items

This is one of the more urgent and easy fixes the devs can do to appease the masses. They have said a few times that they cant increase player storage without upgrading the hardware on their end. Well... Do it already!!! You'de think when they are pulling in something between 7-9 million a MONTH from subscriptions (do the math yourself with 650,000 registered players at 12-15 a month) that at the very least they could do this for us.

I think they should just flat out double bank storage and house storage.

They should also deal with the weirdness with house storage in regards to the house size, as it stands now its just silly. A small and medium house hold the same amount of stuff? Ummm okay *rolls eyes* Seriously tho, eitheer have it make sense or have all houses hold the same amount.

The excuse of having to upgrade hardware on their end just doesnt cut it with me considering the ridiculous amounts of cash they make off of us each month.

Why dont they just increase the number of items allowed in a home. When playing The Sims Online (yes i know, SUCKY GAME LOL) the reason they had item limits was to cut down on lag. Well, the lag here cant be anymore horrid then it is so just give us more of a limit lol. I also dont understand why when a medium home takes more items to make for an artisan, and cost more to buy, would have the same stats as a small home. When you are a crafter or craft you know that you can fill your home up very fast with your supplies. Everytime i go to make a schematic or want to experi. with foods (master chef) i need to:


Check home for supplies

Check storage packs on vendors (making sure i dump stuff to be able to get the item off the vendor, look resell and pick up my other stuff again.

Check my safty deposit box

Check both factories and see if they are stored in there


THEN i can craft (mind you not all locations are close to each other lol. Its a major pain.


With the 10 lots per person, i know that everyone should start with the same, but like any game, EVERYTHING is upgradable, why not make it so that either:


You are able to buy extra lots for a higher price (we dont need one person with 500 lots) or Depending on your profession, depends on how many lots you get. Some one only combat, doesnt need 10, when someone chef or doc could use 15 or 20.


With all the changes in the game right now, with new items, harder npc's nurfed solo's and everything else, Giving us something back would be great. If they fail and do nothing, then they can buy and pay for 3 more accounts


Now this is off the topic but i just have to vent.


For all you people that go and harvest top quality resources....LOWER YOUR PRICES!!!


If you havent noticed that your sales are going down, and they are, you would know that since solo's are gone, people have A LOT LESS money to spend on things. Brandy has dropped in prices on my server, and so has several other things. Even adhesives are as low as 100k when last month sold for 1 million. For example, today i went to a shop and seen some berries i needed. It was a stack of 20k units and the stats were FL: 910 PE: 905 and OQ: 760 selling for 300k. WOOOWAAA !! So ok, if i want to make great brandy, lets say just one crate of 25. This is what i need.


Remember i have to buy extra to have a few to experi. with for the best.

1. buy 2 crates of BS tissues with 85 bonus. Cost about 35-40k a crate

2. find good quality water to use with the tissues to make them into medium additives.

3. buy berries, even 5k units are about 50k

4. buy fruit, even 5k units are about 50k

5. Buy crystal gems for casks

6. find from a tailor or buy 2 crates of Trim

7. take the gems and trim and make into casks

8. Buy wheat and turn that into alcohol. Brandy takes 2, so need3 crates

9. experi. a few times, make schematic, then use factory ( add power ( cost money if u dont harvest it) and pay maintainance fees)).


Now for me to sell that one case of brandy, stats i can usually get are +410, fill 49, uses 21 time 36m30s, I would have to charge about 500k give or take a lil, just to make any type of profit. So what can we do to BALANCE this out?? There isnt unless everyone drops cost, but some people are overly money hungry (which with the cost of things you have to be). So this is my idea.


Get another game, master it to BE and Scout so that my chef can have all tissues for free, and i can also gather supplies and money need for them with my TKM. Seems back that i had to pay 30 bucks for the game, and another 15 bucks a month, just to be able to enjoy the game more. But what can ya do...

I think the problem is not that there isnt enough space, its thatplayers are massing up too much stuff!

How many non new players have you seen with less than a million credits?

It should be a lot harder to make a credit and get your hands on resources.

Maybe there should be two seperate lot point pools for people, one set for houses/guild halls, and one set for harvs and factories.


This way artisans who want to place harvs to mass gather resources don't have to suffer because they have to place a guild hall to store everything.


And I agree, increase the number of items that can be stored in a house. It sucks that a player has to place 3 small houses to store the most items.... but for people who collect loot to decorate their house small houses just don't look as good inside as a large house/guild hall with open space.





Oh yea.... and just a tip.... stick your loot kits and items for loot kits in a bank safty deposit box. Go to any bank and sign up for that bank (only allowed to be a member of one). It is a free space to keep 100 items, and I find that it works GREAT for loot kits and those loot kit items you get that are dupes.

I 2nd the motion for more space or lots, but even if storage space in backpacks or cabinets didnt count against house storage that would be ok.

Less storage keeps the economy going so people can't just store up enough stuff so they dont have to buy anything ever again.


Open up your FS slot and bam .. 10 more lots.


PA Hall only having 250 items to decorate is ridiculous... even Ultima Online had alot more storage. Shame on the developers in that regard.
