Ok I'm not exactly sure what there called but I'm talking about the blue circles with an i in them above the heads of NPC's. Have they changed? I nothiced an npc in theed with a well flashy one that looked cool.

They only talk to you if you have JTL installed, otherwise they tell you to bugger off.

if i remember right, at one point they didn't have the blue circles at all, but then you couldn't tell what npc's can give you missions, or info.. then it switched to a rotating circle/blue i, then they added the little swirly for some reason, maybe to make it more visible..

Those are JtL NPCs. You have to have the expansion for them to talk to you.

You know, I never took a close enough look at them to notice the circling x-wing and tie. Neat.

But yes, that indicates a JTL NPC, either a pilot/shipwright trainer, chassis dealer, or someone who'll point you to a trainer. If you don't have the expansion, they'll send you away (some less politely than others).
