Sorry if this is the wrong place to post, anyhoo - got JTL the other day, been flying around doing a few bits leveled up to 1111 Reb and have a few questions about JTL:

1. I'm aware how to create a new ship, but where do I get blueprints from?

2. Where should I look for missions, the pilot trainer guy offers me the open tour, but it's a wee-bit repetitive...

3. Which are the best areas to lvl up in first/does it really make much difference?

4. I've read about the firespray, and that it's pretty tough to get hold of - lots of reverse engineering of loot - but how is RE done?!

Muchos Thanks

1. I'm aware how to create a new ship, but where do I get blueprints from? You buy the blueprints from a SW and then go to a chassis dealer (usually in the starports) and pay them to make you a chassis.

2. Where should I look for missions, the pilot trainer guy offers me the open tour, but it's a wee-bit repetitive... The Duty tours are your best bet for XP if flying solo. If you have some more advanced friends flying just ask to go with them and shoot at the harder ships, you cant kill them on your own but you will get max xp even if you hit it once. Easy way is to have your friends disable it then you kill it. Kind of cheap but helps when the XP road looks a little long.

3. Which are the best areas to lvl up in first/does it really make much difference? Once you hit tier 4 the Red Sin Chimaera is a good place for XP as well as the Kessel system. Most of Endor has pretty good Tier 3 and 4 spawns with the occasional tier 5. Kessel is pretty much Tier 5. As a tier 3 pilot Dathomir or Dantooine is a good place. But again the duty missions are the best route, they may be repetitive, but no more than just waiting for MOBs to show up, and with the mission they are guaranteed to spawn until you quit or die.

4. I've read about the firespray, and that it's pretty tough to get hold of - lots of reverse engineering of loot - but how is RE done?! RE is done by a SW with the appropriate skill level when they have the correct number and same type of looted ship components to RE. The number of components depends on the Level of looted components. Portions of the Firespray schematic will be available at random after RE. I'm not a SW and havent RE'd anything but that is the gist of it, I think.

You should browse the pilot's and SW's forums as well as check their FAQs. There is a lot of good info over there and people who can better help you. Good luck to you.

1) look for a shipwright or check the planety map for ship vendors.
2) Some of the spacestations are offering missions. But you have to be the right faction in space.
3) To RE some thing, you need to check the RE lvl. The RE lvl is displayed at the bottom of the stats. You will need to find the same number of items to RE. So if you have a RE lvl 3 for an engine, you'll need a total of 3 RE lvl 3 engines. You take this parts to a shipwright who will RE them into a new engine. The new engine will have the best stats from the 3 engines used. There is a small bonus added to the stats. The bonus is 1/2# the RE lvl rounded up. A lvl 3 would give a 2% bonus. If you had a speed of 40, 50 and 60, the finial engine speed will have 60 * 2% = 61.2.

There is a very small change about 2% to get a firespray disk when RE loot.

NOTE: Some loot have a different cert lvl and RE lvl. It is not known is this is a bug or not. You need to watch out for it when you getting stuff RE. Sometimes you might get something good with the unknown bug
