Thread: Why doesn't my toon clap or cheer entertainers?

I've been playing since near launch, and whenever I watch or listen to entertainers since I can remember, I just stand there like a statue. Other people (even AFK) naturally clap and cheer along to the music. I've even asked other people what their persective looks like and they confirm I am doing nothing. Sure I can manually /cheer or /clap but this is not what I'm talking about. Do Zabrak's have no jive? Have I been cursed by an evil sith? What is going on and does this happen to anybody else? It's probably something stupid I should know about but don't. Please inform. Thanks

If you have certain weapons equipped you won't be able to clap. Mostly ranged weapons likerifles and flamethrowers.

I always have a trusty pistol in my hand, are you saying I should unequip it? Hmmm, I'll give it a try...

No.. I'm sure that you have plenty of jive! 
Correct thatif you have aweapon equipped, you won't do the fun clapping and cheering thing. Try unequipping the pistol, and see if that helps you out.

Basically ranged figthers are less co-ordinated and can't clap along when they are holding a weapon, unlike melee classes.

I don't think I remember seeing pikemen clap either.. but swordsmen clapping looks very silly IMO.. with me sticking my scythe in my head all the time =/

Yeah, I've noticed this...when I have my VK's equipped, I clap and cheer. If I have my Flamethrower equipped, I don't.
btw...try "/setmood amused" ... this will cause your toon to boogie down and bounce his knees every once in a while as well...Cool look for watching an entertainer!
