ATTN: Vets who have helped newbies.

Please post your experiences with helping newbies, and what problems ocurred while helping them using the following format. Thanks!

Problem: Cannot get out of city.
Helper solution: Teach how to use ctrl+m
Dev solution: Add signs.

Problem: Bad weapon.
Helper solution: Teach how to use /way and vendor selector on ctrl+v.
Dev solution: Give a weapon after completing newbie quests.

Problem: Not enough starting gear.
Helper solution1: Give newbie gear.
Helper solution2: Do missions with newbie.
Dev solution: NT

Problem: No group.
Helper solution1: Group with newbie
Helper solution2: Give newbie a pet.
Helper solution3: Bring newbie to more advanced planet, and introduce to friends.
Dev solution1: Every time a newbie character is created, the player can choose to have a newbie helper notified of its presence. (A checkbox under view tutorial will do). Sends an email to a random helper on Tatooine.
Dev solution2: Give newbies a starting pet.

i had problems with newbies when they ask me for a pet, i tell them i dont have any under level 10, the highest non-ch can have, they then start swearing and abusing people cause were not helping them, thats a problem, when they dont get what they want they go crazy (not all off them, but some)
