Thread: public crafting station vs. private crafting station vs. droid crafting station

could someone please explain the differnences? it lists the effectiveness of private crafting stations when you examine them, but there is no way of telling how much better/worse than a public or droid crafting station it is. I have a 8% effectiveness station(currently in the market for a much better one)....should I use that over a driod/public?

Some high-level items require a -private- crafting station. If you are standing next to a public crafting station, the item won't appear when you use your crafting tool. Droids are also considered private crafting stations. I've seen private crafting stations rated above 40, but I'm not sure how this compares to public ones or the ones built into droids, or even how important it is. Personally, I think droids are the most convenient (since you can call one out any time you're in a city or camp).

droids are certainly the most convenient, but when im making a scematic or something big, i want the best possible results, thats why im asking

Public crafting stations are all 0.0 for effectiveness. Private crafting stationscan go up to about 43-45 though you have to hunt for an Artisan that used very good components to get that high of a rating. Droid crafting stations, I believe, have their own effectiveness ratings which vary depending on how it was crafted though most DE's seem to not include that stat in the information. I would certainly use your private station over the public one, but without knowing the effectiveness on the droid, I can't say there. It is much better to use the highest effectiveness crafting tools and station that you can get. I just recently caved in and finally got some 43.+ stations and my results are so much better than with just my 14.+ tools and a 9.+ station, much fewer "bad" successes, and more greats and amazings.

I have used crappy tools and stations and then switched to very good stations and crafting tools i cant tell the differance. Its more about the resource quality, this has been brought up many times yet it doesnt seem like the devs would like comment on the matter, which worries me. Your best bet is to use the best quality stations and tools and hope for the future.
